Today's Food Prices in West Sumatra: Chicken Prices Up, Onion Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Wednesday (24/7/2024) at 14.37 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 14 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include red chilies, chicken eggs, premium rice, chicken meat, and pure beef.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as iodized fine salt, milkfish, shallots, SPHP rice, and shallots have decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of chicken meat increased the most, by Rp1,710 (5.05%) to Rp35,550 per kg. The price of shallots decreased the most sharply, by Rp1,270 (4.61%) to Rp26,260 per kg.

The following is a complete list of the prices of 21 food commodities in West Sumatra according to Bapanas on July 24, 2024, at 14.37 WIB.
