Jakarta, DKI Region Food Prices Tuesday (August 20th): Chili Pepper, Sugar, and Salt Prices Drop

The prices of several food commodities in DKI Jakarta today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Tuesday (20/8/2024) at 09.34 WIB, out of 19 commodities, 2 commodities increased and 16 commodities decreased in price.

The commodities that increased in price are mackerel fish and medium-grain rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as red chilies, curly red chilies, broiler chicken meat, simple packaged cooking oil, and chicken eggs decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Mackerel fish prices surged the highest by Rp910 (2.67%) to Rp35,000 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of bulk cooking oil fell the most sharply by Rp3,610 (21.68%) to Rp13,040 per liter.
