Food Prices in Central Java Saturday (August 30): Red Chili Prices Rise, Onions Fall

Prices of several food commodities in Central Java today were observed to rise compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Saturday (August 30, 2025) at 14:18 WIB, out of 25 commodities, 15 increased and 9 decreased.

Commodities with rising prices include bulk wheat flour, frozen buffalo meat (imported), corn at farmer level, medium rice, and broiler chicken meat.

Meanwhile, prices of several commodities such as red bird''s eye chili, consumption salt, fresh buffalo meat (local), broiler chicken eggs, and milkfish decreased compared to yesterday''s prices.

Curly red chili prices rose the highest by Rp416 (1.41%) to Rp29,847 per kg. Red onion prices fell the sharpest by Rp648 (1.64%) to Rp38,790 per kg.
