South Sumatra Food Price Update Today: Chili Prices Up, Salt Prices Down (Tuesday, February 6, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Tuesday (February 6th, 2024) at 09:28 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include milkfish, simple packaged cooking oil, chicken eggs, medium rice, and red chilies.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots, pure beef, bulk wheat flour, granulated sugar, and curly red chilies decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies saw the highest price increase of Rp1,780 (3.51%), reaching Rp52,510 per kg. Meanwhile, iodized fine salt saw the lowest price decrease of Rp700 (6.13%), reaching Rp10,710 per kg.

5. Mackerel: Rp31,970 per kg (up 0.28%)
6. Chicken Meat: Rp31,480 per kg (up 1.03%)
7. Shallots: Rp29,190 per kg (down 3.25%)
8. Milkfish: Rp28,560 per kg (up 0.28%)
9. Skipjack Tuna: Rp27,550 per kg (down 2.17%)
10. Chicken Eggs: Rp26,630 per kg (up 0.19%)
