The price of medium-sized shallots in East Kalimantan reached Rp 47,650 per kg on Friday, May 6, 2022. Compared to other regions, this was the highest price increase in the past week.

According to daily commodity price monitoring data from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center, the price of medium-sized shallots in East Kalimantan increased by 2.58% within a week.

Compared to the price 30 days prior, the price of medium-sized shallots in this region has increased by 2.14%. This signifies a significant increase within a month. Furthermore, compared to the last year's prices, the current selling price of medium-sized shallots in East Kalimantan's modern markets is the highest on record.

For the period of January-May 2022, the price of medium-sized shallots in modern markets has continuously increased, rising by 2.14% compared to the previous month.

The price of medium-sized shallots reached its lowest point at Rp 39,400 per kg on Wednesday, January 19, 2022. The highest price this year reached approximately Rp 47,650 per kg.

Nationally, the price of medium-sized shallots began to rise towards the end of 2021. The average price of medium-sized shallots in modern markets was Rp 45,910 per kg, a 1.5% increase compared to the previous weekend.
