Indonesia Food Prices Saturday (September 14th): Chili Up, Salt Down

The prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Saturday (14/9/2024) at 14.25 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 17 commodities increased in price and 3 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include red chilies, granulated sugar, pure beef, SPHP rice, and bulk cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as milkfish, iodized fine salt, and dry soybean (import) decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of curly red chilies surged the highest by Rp420 (1.22%) to Rp34,890 per kg. The price of iodized fine salt decreased the most sharply by Rp40 (0.35%) to Rp11,490 per kg.
