Latest Food Prices in Yogyakarta Special Region: Onion Prices Rise, Salt Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, have increased today compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Thursday (July 11, 2024) at 13:05 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 8 saw price increases and 3 saw price decreases.

Commodities that experienced price increases include red chilies, medium-grain rice, dry imported soybeans, simple packaged cooking oil, and bulk cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as milkfish, skipjack tuna, and iodized fine salt decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The highest price increase was observed in shallots, rising by Rp2,600 (7.84%) to Rp35,750 per kg. The largest price decrease was in iodized fine salt, falling by Rp110 (0.94%) to Rp11,630 per kg.
