Current Food Prices in Banten Province: Chili Prices Up, Onion Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in Banten today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Saturday (27/7/2024) at 10:45 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 6 commodities increased and 14 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are red chilies, iodized fine salt, SPHP rice, premium rice, and farmer-level corn.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as wheat flour (bulk), chicken eggs, shallots, milkfish, and curly red chilies decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies saw the highest price increase, jumping Rp12,700 (17.99%) to Rp83,300 per kg. Milkfish prices, on the other hand, saw the sharpest decrease, dropping Rp3,400 (10.75%) to Rp28,230 per kg.
