Latest Indonesian Food Prices: Onions Up, Chilies Down

The prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Wednesday (11/9/2024) at 11:45 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 12 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include dry soybean (import), Indian mackerel, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), fine iodized salt, and granulated sugar.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as bulk wheat flour, skipjack tuna, broiler chicken, milkfish, and red chili peppers decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of garlic bulbs saw the highest increase, jumping by Rp170 (0.43%) to Rp39,890 per kg. The price of red chili peppers saw the steepest decrease, dropping by Rp990 (2.17%) to Rp44,610 per kg.

9. Chicken Eggs: Rp28,270 per kg (down 0.11%)
