Indonesia's Daily Food Prices: Egg Prices Up, Chili Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Monday (14/10/2024) at 09.05 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 16 commodities increased and 5 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include packaged simple cooking oil, tongkol fish, shallot garlic cloves, broiler chicken meat, and chicken eggs.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as milkfish, bulk wheat flour, red chilies, bulk cooking oil, and medium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of corn at the farmer level surged the highest by Rp420 (7.0%) to Rp6,420 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of milkfish decreased the most by Rp860 (2.6%) to Rp32,280 per kg.
