Today's Food Price Update in South Kalimantan: Prices of Salt, Sugar, and Chilies Rise (Tuesday, January 23, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in South Kalimantan today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Tuesday (23/1/2024) at 10:40 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include mackerel, garlic bulbs, milkfish, granulated sugar, and iodized fine salt.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as simple packaged cooking oil, pure beef, bulk wheat flour, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and medium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chili prices increased the most by Rp3,170 (7.81%) to Rp43,750 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of corn at the farmer level decreased the most by Rp510 (5.16%) to Rp9,370 per kg.
