East Java Food Prices Monday (August 5th): Egg, Oil, and Onion Prices Rise

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Monday (5/8/2024) at 09.17 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 14 commodities increased in price and 7 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include curly red chilies, dry soybean (import), shallots, premium rice, and SPHP rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as bulk wheat flour, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), pure beef, mackerel, and farmer-level corn decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of garlic cloves saw the highest increase, jumping Rp1,740 (4.97%) to Rp36,720 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of farmer-level corn experienced the steepest decline, dropping Rp590 (11.66%) to Rp4,470 per kg.

8. Skipjack Tuna: Rp30,570 per kg (up 2.48%)
9. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp26,660 per kg (up 1.41%)
10. Shallots: Rp20,760 per kg (up 3.13%)
11. Simple Packaged Cooking Oil: Rp16,980 per liter (up 3.1%)
12. Granulated Sugar: Rp16,820 per kg (up 1.63%)
