East Java Food Prices Thursday (25/4): Chili Prices Rise, Oil Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to be lower than yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Thursday (25/4/2024) at 17.41 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 12 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include shallots, farmer-level corn, granulated sugar, red chilies, and curly red chilies.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as simple packaged cooking oil, broiler chicken meat, fine iodized salt, medium rice, and packaged wheat flour (non-bulk) decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Farmer-level corn prices surged the highest by Rp370 (5.52%) to Rp7,070 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of Indian mackerel decreased the most by Rp1,270 (3.8%) to Rp32,160 per kg.
