Today's Food Prices in Central Java: Rice and Salt Prices Increase

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Saturday, December 28, 2024, at 3:21 PM WIB, out of 21 commodities, 12 commodities increased in price and 8 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include red chilies, iodized fine salt, dry soybean (import), premium rice, and bulk cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as granulated sugar, broiler chicken, pure beef, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and bulk wheat flour decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of curly red chilies increased the most, by Rp3,210 (6.44%), reaching Rp53,090 per kg. The price of granulated sugar decreased the most sharply, by Rp170 (0.99%), reaching Rp17,060 per kg.
