Latest Indonesian Food Prices: Prices of Chicken, Sugar, and Beef Rise

The prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to be higher compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Sunday (25/8/2024) at 13.21 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 12 commodities increased in price and 8 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include broiler chicken, pure beef, skipjack tuna, granulated sugar, and bulk wheat flour.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), shallots, bulk cooking oil, chicken eggs, and garlic cloves decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt saw the highest price increase of Rp130 (1.14%) to Rp11,570 per kg. Red chili peppers experienced the largest price drop of Rp1,040 (1.85%) to Rp55,170 per kg.
