Today's Food Prices in East Java March 06: Onion and Rice Prices Rise

Some food commodity prices in East Java today were observed to increase compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Friday (March 6, 2026) at 18:05 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 8 increased and 3 decreased.

Commodities with price increases include shallots, medium rice, loose granulated sugar, beef rump, and curly red chili.

Meanwhile, prices of some commodities such as broiler chicken meat, chicken eggs, and Honan garlic decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Curly red chili prices jumped the highest by Rp465 (1.52%) to Rp31,051 per kg. Meanwhile, Honan garlic prices fell the steepest by Rp130 (0.42%) to Rp30,597 per kg.

5. Curly Red Chili: Rp31,051 per kg (up 1.52%)
6. Honan Garlic: Rp30,597 per kg (down 0.42%)
7. Chicken Eggs: Rp29,447 per kg (down 0.05%)
8. Large Red Chili: Rp27,706 per kg (up 0.91%)
9. Premium Packed Palm Cooking Oil: Rp20,155 per liter (up 0.06%)
