Sumatera Selatan Food Prices on Monday (October 28th): Chili and Onion Prices Rise

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on food price panel data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) on Monday (28/10/2024) at 17.20 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 5 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include chicken eggs, skipjack tuna, chicken meat, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and bulk wheat flour.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as red chili peppers, fine iodized salt, milkfish, mackerel, and pure beef decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of curly red chilies increased the most by Rp570 (2.66%) to Rp22,010 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of red chili peppers decreased the most by Rp1,150 (2.65%) to Rp42,240 per kg.
