South Sumatra Food Price Update Today: Chili and Salt Prices Rise (Wednesday, April 3, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Wednesday (3/4/2024) at 14.23 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 12 commodities increased in price and 5 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include shallots, iodized fine salt, red chilies, red onions, and broiler chicken.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as bulk cooking oil, skipjack tuna, chicken eggs, mackerel, and farmer-level corn decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red onions saw the highest price increase of Rp1,940 (5.36%) to Rp38,130 per kg. Farmer-level corn experienced the lowest price decrease of Rp260 (4.41%) to Rp5,640 per kg.

8. Chicken Eggs: Rp29,060 per kg (down 0.58%)
