Jakarta Food Price Update Today: Onion Prices Up, Fish Prices Down (Tuesday, November 21, 2023)

Food prices in DKI Jakarta today are observed to be lower compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Tuesday (21/11/2023) at 10:35 WIB, out of 19 commodities, 5 commodities increased and 12 commodities decreased.

Shallot bulbs experienced the highest price increase, rising 2.55% or Rp1,010 to Rp40,670 per kg.

Next, red onions and bulk cooking oil increased by 1.82% or Rp650 to Rp36,440 per kg and 1.75% or Rp270 to Rp15,660 per liter, respectively.

The price of chicken eggs rose by Rp410 or 1.5% to Rp27,720 per kg, and the price of bulk wheat flour increased by Rp100 or 0.98% to Rp10,260 per kg.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as Indian mackerel, red chilies, skipjack tuna, and iodized fine salt decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of Indian mackerel decreased by 6.32% or Rp2,320 to Rp34,380 per kg, the lowest price decrease today in DKI Jakarta.

The price of red chilies was recorded at Rp81,720 per kg, down 5.0%; skipjack tuna decreased to Rp34,640 per kg from Rp36,250 per kg previously; and the price of iodized fine salt decreased by Rp370 to Rp10,670 per kg.
