The Price of Medium I Quality Rice in Southeast Sulawesi is the Highest in Indonesia (Tuesday, October 3, 2023)

The National Strategic Food Price Information Center recorded an average daily price of Rp 14,900 per kg for medium-quality type I rice in modern markets across several provinces as of Tuesday, October 3, 2023. Overall, this week's average is higher than last week's average of Rp 14,820 per kg.

The daily price of medium-quality type I rice in modern markets in Southeast Sulawesi was the highest in Indonesia at Rp 18,000 per kg. Compared to a month ago, the price of medium-quality type I rice in this province is higher; previously it was recorded at Rp 13,300 per kg.

Meanwhile, in West Sumatra's modern markets, medium-quality type I rice was sold at Rp 17,200 per kg, making it the second most expensive in the country.

Following in third place, the price of medium-quality type I rice was Rp 16,950 per kg in East Kalimantan, Rp 16,800 per kg in Banten, and Rp 16,400 per kg in Gorontalo.

Meanwhile, 19 provinces had medium-quality type I rice prices below the national average. The three provinces with the lowest selling prices for medium-quality type I rice were Bali, Riau Islands, and East Java.
