Daily Prices of Low-Quality Rice in Modern Markets, March 2024-2025

The latest information from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center panel shows that the daily price of low-quality grade I rice in modern markets in Central Java Province is recorded at Rp13,050 per kg. This price is unchanged compared to the previous day and the last week.

Compared to the price 30 days ago, the daily price of low-quality grade I rice in modern markets has decreased from the previously recorded Rp13,200 per kg.

Meanwhile, the daily price of low-quality grade I rice in modern markets in Central Java over the last three months has decreased by 4.04%. According to historical food price records in the PIHPS price panel, the daily price of low-quality grade I rice in modern markets in Central Java Province was traded at Rp13,600 per kg.

The record high for the daily price of low-quality grade I rice in modern markets in this province was previously recorded in January 2018 with an increase of 24.69%, and the lowest decrease was recorded in January 2018 with a decrease of -18.48%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, the prices of nine basic commodities (sembako) today in Central Java show nine commodities decreased and 21 others increased. The basic commodities with price decreases are: Super I Rice, Low-Quality Grade I Rice, Branded Packaged Cooking Oil 2, Medium I Rice, Quality 2 Beef, Medium II Rice, Quality 1 Beef, Beef, and Rice.
