Today's Food Prices in DKI Jakarta: Rice, Oil, and Sugar Prices Increase

The prices of several food commodities in DKI Jakarta today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Friday (16/8/2024) at 09.34 WIB, out of 18 commodities, 10 commodities increased in price and 8 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include mackerel, red chilies, premium rice, curly red chilies, and medium rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots, simple packaged cooking oil, broiler chicken, skipjack tuna, and red onions decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies saw the highest price increase, jumping Rp10,340 (14.84%) to Rp80,000 per kg. Broiler chicken experienced the steepest price drop, falling Rp11,130 (29.98%) to Rp26,000 per kg.

The following is a complete list of the prices of 18 food commodities in DKI Jakarta according to Bapanas on August 16, 2024, at 09.34 WIB.

1. Pure Beef: Rp140,000 per kg (up 2.5%)
2. Red Chilies: Rp80,000 per kg (up 14.84%)
3. Curly Red Chilies: Rp50,000 per kg (up 9.84%)
4. Shallots: Rp40,000 per kg (down 3.15%)
5. Mackerel: Rp35,000 per kg (up 2.28%)
6. Milkfish: Rp32,000 per kg (down 19.8%)
7. Red Onions: Rp30,000 per kg (down 4.52%)
8. Skipjack Tuna: Rp30,000 per kg (down 12.66%)
9. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp28,000 per kg (up 0.29%)
10. Broiler Chicken: Rp26,000 per kg (down 29.98%)
11. Granulated Sugar: Rp19,000 per kg (up 1.99%)
12. Bulk Cooking Oil: Rp17,000 per liter (up 3.16%)
13. Simple Packaged Cooking Oil: Rp17,000 per liter (down 5.13%)
