Latest Food Prices in South Sumatra: Chicken Prices Up, Chili Prices Down (Saturday, March 2, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Saturday (March 2nd, 2024) at 09:35 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 12 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include bulk cooking oil, simple packaged cooking oil, broiler chicken meat, dry soybean (import), and chicken eggs.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as garlic cloves, granulated sugar, farmer-level corn, red chili peppers, and medium rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The commodity with the highest price increase was Mackerel, up Rp1,280 (3.98%) to Rp33,470 per kg. The commodity with the lowest price decrease was red chili peppers, down Rp3,670 (4.97%) to Rp70,210 per kg.
