Chicken Meat Prices in Traditional Markets March 2025-2026 Period

Quoting from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center dashboard at 12:44 WIB, the daily chicken meat price in traditional markets of West Papua province was observed to increase by Rp700 compared to the previous day, reaching Rp48,800.

Meanwhile, compared to the last month, the development of daily chicken meat prices in traditional markets has decreased from the previously recorded Rp49,600.

In the last three months, the daily chicken meat price in traditional markets in West Papua has increased by 5.06% from the previously traded Rp46,450.

The record increase in daily chicken meat prices in traditional markets in this province was previously recorded in December 2017 with an increase of 42.16%, and the lowest decrease was recorded in January 2018 with a decrease of -34.36%.

According to the PIHPS monitoring, today's prices of nine staple foods in West Papua show that 18 commodities have decreased and eight have increased. The staple foods with price decreases are Large Red Chili, Red Chili, Fresh Layer Chicken Eggs, Chicken Eggs, Rice, Premium Quality Granulated Sugar, Low Quality II Rice, Branded Packaged Cooking Oil 2, Medium Quality I Rice, Medium Quality II Rice, Super Quality I Rice, Cooking Oil, Red Bird's Eye Chili, Chicken Meat, Green Bird's Eye Chili, Fresh Broiler Chicken Meat, Bird's Eye Chili, and Curly Red Chili.

Below are the prices of nine staple foods monitored by PIHPS today compared to their price developments in the last month in West Papua province:
