Current Food Prices in South Sumatra: Chili Prices Rise, Salt Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Wednesday (26/3/2025) at 11:23 WIB, out of 23 commodities, 15 commodities increased and 7 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include dried soybean (import), large red chilies, milkfish, mackerel, and shallots.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as packaged cooking oil, medium rice, packaged wheat flour, table salt, and SPHP rice decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of curly red chilies increased the most, by Rp3,524 (7.37%) to Rp51,309 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of table salt decreased the most, by Rp165 (1.45%) to Rp11,225 per kg.
