Indonesia's Latest Food Prices: Chili Prices Rise, Onion Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in Indonesia today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Sunday (21/7/2024) at 12:19 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 15 commodities increased and 6 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include packaged simple cooking oil, pure beef, bulk cooking oil, granulated sugar, and corn at the farmer level.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as milkfish, shallots, dry soybean (import), broiler chicken, and mackerel decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Corn at the farmer level saw the highest price increase of Rp60 (1.05%) to Rp5,770 per kg. The price of milkfish decreased the most, by Rp970 (2.96%) to Rp31,770 per kg.

9. Shallots: Rp30,590 per kg (down 1.04%)
