Latest South Sumatra Food Prices: Cooking Oil Price Up, Salt Price Down

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Tuesday (24/9/2024) at 13.44 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 6 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include premium rice, medium rice, simple packaged cooking oil, broiler chicken, and granulated sugar.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots, iodized fine salt, skipjack tuna, SPHP rice, and packaged wheat flour (non-bulk) decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Bulk cooking oil experienced the highest price increase of Rp160 (1.03%) to Rp15,720 per liter. Iodized fine salt saw the steepest price decrease of Rp280 (2.39%) to Rp11,420 per kg.
