Sumatera Selatan Food Price Update Today: Chili Prices Up, Cooking Oil Prices Down (Sunday, March 24, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Sunday (24/3/2024) at 12:39 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 16 commodities increased and 2 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include granulated sugar, red chilies, mackerel, milkfish, and iodized fine salt.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as simple packaged cooking oil and bulk cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies saw the highest price increase of Rp3,670 (7.15%), reaching Rp54,980 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of simple packaged cooking oil saw the lowest decrease of Rp30 (0.18%), reaching Rp16,850 per liter.

7. Mackerel: Rp31,780 per kg (up 5.34%)
8. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp29,540 per kg (up 0.92%)
9. Skipjack Tuna: Rp27,310 per kg (up 2.63%)
