Price of Medium I Quality Rice in Traditional Markets, April 2025-2026 Period

Quoting from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center dashboard at 11:44 WIB, the daily price of Medium I quality rice in traditional markets of West Papua province has not changed compared to the previous day, just like the price trend over the past week.

Meanwhile, over the past month, the daily price of Medium I quality rice in traditional markets has decreased from the previously recorded Rp17.4 thousand.

Meanwhile, in the past three months, the daily price of Medium I quality rice in traditional markets in West Papua has fallen by 2.59%. According to historical food price records from the PIHPS price panel, the daily price of Medium I quality rice in traditional markets of West Papua province is traded at Rp17.4 thousand.

The record increase in the daily price of Medium I quality rice in traditional markets in this province was previously recorded in December 2018 with an increase of 31.58%, and the lowest decrease was recorded in December 2018 with a decrease of -13.64%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, the prices of nine staple foods (sembako) today in West Papua show that eight commodities have decreased and 16 others have increased. The sembako with falling prices are Premium Quality Granulated Sugar, Super II Quality Rice, Rice, Grade 1 Beef, Super I Quality Rice, Large Red Chili, Granulated Sugar and Local Granulated Sugar.

6. Super II Quality Rice per Kg Rp17.75 thousand per kg (down 0.28%)
7. Bird's Eye Chili per Kg Rp95.65 thousand per kg (up 11.94%)
8. Rice per Kg Rp17.25 thousand per kg (down 0.29%)
9. Cooking Oil per Kg Rp22.35 thousand per kg (up 1.36%)
