Beef Prices in North Maluku Rise 8.57% in a Week

Beef prices in North Maluku reached Rp 164,700 per kg on Tuesday, February 22, 2022. Compared to other regions, this area saw the highest price increase in the last week.

According to daily commodity price data from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center, beef prices in North Maluku rose 8.57% within a week.

Compared to prices 30 days prior, beef prices in this region increased by 8.57%. This signifies a significant surge within a month. In fact, compared to prices over the past year, this is the highest price ever recorded for beef in North Maluku's modern markets.

For the period of January-February 2022, beef prices in modern markets continued to rise, increasing by 8.57% compared to the previous month.

Beef prices reached their lowest point at Rp 151,700 per kg on Monday, January 3, 2022. The highest price ever reached was around Rp 164,700 per kg.

Nationally, beef prices began to fall towards the end of 2021. The average price of beef in modern markets was Rp 160,930 per kg, down 1.53% compared to the previous weekend.
