Current Food Prices in East Java: Chili Prices Rise, Chicken Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Wednesday, February 5th, 2025, at 17:25 WIB, out of 23 commodities, 13 commodities increased in price and 10 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include chicken eggs, milkfish, packaged cooking oil, Minyakita, and shallots.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as large red chilies, broiler chicken, medium rice, iodized fine salt, and pure beef decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The commodity with the highest price increase was curly red chilies, up by Rp1,062 (2.08%) to Rp52,067 per kg. The sharpest price decrease was for broiler chicken, down Rp203 (0.6%) to Rp33,857 per kg.
