Red Chili Prices in North Sulawesi's Modern Markets Down 15.72% in the Last Month

Based on the National Strategic Food Price Information Center dashboard at 17:23 WIB, the daily price of red chili peppers in modern markets in North Sulawesi Province showed no change compared to the previous day, mirroring the trend of the past week.

Compared to the price 30 days ago, the daily price of red chili peppers in modern markets has decreased from the previously recorded Rp96,400 per kg.

Meanwhile, the daily price of red chili peppers in modern markets in North Sulawesi over the past three months has increased by 12.93% from the previous price of Rp71,950 per kg.

The record high for the daily price of red chili peppers in modern markets in this province was previously recorded in December 2021 with a 282.67% increase, and the lowest decrease was recorded in January 2024 at -46.4%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, the prices of nine basic commodities (sembako) today in North Sulawesi show nine commodities decreased and 18 others increased. The basic commodities with price decreases are Branded Packaged Cooking Oil 1, Cooking Oil, Red Chili Peppers, Beef, Grade 1 Beef, Shallots, Medium-Sized Shallots, Medium Quality Rice II, and Chili Peppers.

The following are the prices of basic commodities monitored by PIHPS today compared to price changes over the past month in North Sulawesi Province:

1. Branded Packaged Cooking Oil 1 per kg: Rp21,800 per kg (down 0.91%)
2. Low Quality Rice II per kg: Rp15,450 per kg (up 10.75%)
3. Granulated Sugar per kg: Rp19,550 per kg (up 0.77%)
4. Rice per kg: Rp15,200 per kg (up 5.56%)
5. Branded Packaged Cooking Oil 2 per kg: Rp22,400 per kg (unchanged)
6. Cooking Oil per kg: Rp21,100 per kg (down 0.71%)
7. Low Quality Rice I per kg: Rp16,300 per kg (up 13.59%)
8. Green Chili Peppers per kg: Rp95,950 per kg (up 0.05%)
9. Red Chili Peppers per kg: Rp81,250 per kg (down 15.72%)
10. Fresh Broiler Chicken per kg: Rp43,650 per kg (up 0.58%)
11. Premium Quality Granulated Sugar per kg: Rp20,700 per kg (up 0.49%)
12. Curly Red Chili Peppers per kg: Rp77,150 per kg (up 33.82%)
13. Beef per kg: Rp144,550 per kg (down 0.45%)
