Latest Food Prices in West Sumatra: Chilies Up, Chicken Down

The prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Wednesday (11/12/2024) at 13.05 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include mackerel, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), red chilies, shallots, and garlic bulbs.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as simple packaged cooking oil, pure beef, granulated sugar, skipjack tuna, and bulk cooking oil decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chilies saw the highest price increase of Rp2,690 (7.15%), reaching Rp40,290 per kg. Skipjack tuna experienced the sharpest price drop of Rp630 (1.71%), reaching Rp36,300 per kg.
