Gojek's Contribution to the Indonesian Economy Reaches Rp 44.2 Trillion

Research by the Demography Institute of the Faculty of Economics and Business, University of Indonesia (LD FEB UI), shows that Gojek's contribution to the Indonesian economy up to 2018 reached Rp 44.2 trillion per year. This contribution comes from Go-Ride, Go-Car, Go-Life, and Go-Food.

This research calculated the contribution based on the difference in income of partners and UMKM owners before and after joining Gojek. Specifically, Gojek contributed Rp 16.5 trillion per year through the difference in income of people before and after becoming Go-Ride partners, and Rp 8.5 trillion per year before and after becoming Go-Car partners.

Meanwhile, Go-Life partners contributed Rp 1.2 trillion per year. The difference in turnover before and after becoming GO-Food UMKM partners yielded the highest contribution among other sectors, reaching Rp 18 trillion.

The LD FEB UI research used a quantitative method through face-to-face interviews. This research also used a simple random sampling method with a margin of error of 3.5%.
