Current Food Prices in South Sumatra: Oil Up, Chili Down

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Saturday (23/11/2024) at 09:49 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include chicken eggs, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), skipjack tuna, premium rice, and mackerel.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as bulk wheat flour, fine iodized salt, red chilies, shallots, and pure beef have decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Mackerel experienced the highest price increase of Rp1,330 (4.05%) to Rp34,210 per kg. Red chilies saw the steepest price drop of Rp1,450 (3.94%) to Rp35,330 per kg.
