Latest Food Prices in South Sumatra: Onions Up, Chilies Down (Monday, January 22, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Monday (22/1/2024) at 13:35 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 7 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include shallots, pure beef, premium rice, medium rice, and bulk cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as red chilies, granulated sugar, bulk wheat flour, milkfish, and skipjack tuna decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Shallots saw the highest price increase of Rp340 (1.02%) to Rp33,600 per kg. Red chilies saw the lowest price decrease of Rp1,530 (3.08%) to Rp48,070 per kg.
