Central Java Food Prices Wednesday (1/1): Salt Prices Up, Chili Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Wednesday, January 1st, 2025, at 3:21 PM WIB, out of 21 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 12 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include skipjack tuna, bulk wheat flour, chicken eggs, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and granulated sugar.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as simple packaged cooking oil, medium rice, SPHP rice, shallots, and red chilies decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Bulk wheat flour experienced the highest price increase of Rp550 (6.04%), reaching Rp9,660 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of curly red chilies decreased the most sharply by Rp8,200 (13.95%), reaching Rp50,590 per kg.
