Jakarta, Indonesia Food Price Update Today: Wheat Flour Prices Up, Fish Prices Down (Friday, November 24, 2023)

Food prices in DKI Jakarta today are observed to be lower compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Friday (24/11/2023) at 10:17 WIB, out of 19 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased.

The price of bulk wheat flour saw the highest increase, jumping 7.78% or Rp790 to Rp10,950 per kg.

Next, the prices of broiler chicken and bulk cooking oil increased by 7.73% or Rp3,000 to Rp41,790 per kg and 3.96% or Rp610 to Rp16,000 per liter, respectively.

The price of packaged wheat flour (non-bulk) increased by Rp320 or 2.47% to Rp13,280 per kg, pure beef increased by Rp2,060 or 1.49% to Rp140,000 per kg, and the price of red chilies increased by Rp1,250 or 1.4% to Rp90,260 per kg.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as skipjack tuna, milkfish, iodized fine salt, and mackerel decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of skipjack tuna decreased by 8.91% or Rp3,230 to Rp33,020 per kg, the lowest price decrease today in DKI Jakarta.

The price of milkfish was recorded at Rp36,940 per kg, down 7.42%, the price of iodized fine salt decreased to Rp10,260 per kg from Rp11,040 per kg, and the price of mackerel decreased by Rp2,530 to Rp34,170 per kg.
