East Java Food Prices on Monday (August 26th): Rice, Salt, and Chili Prices Drop

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Monday (26/8/2024) at 2:38 PM WIB, out of 21 commodities, 5 commodities increased and 15 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are wheat flour (bulk), mackerel, broiler chicken, farmer-level corn, and medium rice.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as garlic bulbs, simple packaged cooking oil, pure beef, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and shallots decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Farmer-level corn experienced the highest price increase of Rp130 (2.4%) to Rp5,550 per kg. Meanwhile, red chili prices decreased the most sharply by Rp3,350 (7.9%) to Rp39,030 per kg.
