Latest Food Prices in Central Java: Onions Up, Salt Down (Tuesday, April 9, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in Central Java today are observed to be higher than yesterday.

Based on data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Tuesday (9/4/2024) at 12:18 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 15 commodities increased in price and 5 commodities decreased.

Commodities that increased in price include broiler chicken, red chilies, medium-grain rice, chicken eggs, and simple packaged cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), premium rice, fine iodized salt, farmer-level corn, and red chili peppers decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Shallots saw the highest price increase of Rp1,980 (4.51%) to Rp45,920 per kg. Fine iodized salt had the lowest price decrease of Rp140 (1.17%) to Rp11,790 per kg.
