Current Food Prices in Jakarta, DKI: How Much Does Chili Cost?

The prices of several food commodities in DKI Jakarta today are observed to have increased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Tuesday (27/8/2024) at 15.04 WIB, out of 19 commodities, 11 commodities increased and 4 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include red chilies, granulated sugar, broiler chicken meat, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and shallots.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as red chilies, Indian mackerel, milkfish, and skipjack tuna decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Shallots experienced the highest price increase of Rp2,380 (8.43%) to Rp30,610 per kg. Meanwhile, red chilies saw the sharpest price decrease of Rp2,710 (4.77%) to Rp54,150 per kg.
