Sumatera Selatan Food Prices on Tuesday (April 23rd): What's the Price of Onions?

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Tuesday (23/4/2024) at 16.37 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 9 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include medium-grain rice, pure beef, bulk cooking oil, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), and mackerel.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as simple packaged cooking oil, skipjack tuna, shallot bulbs, red chilies, and chicken eggs decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Shallots saw the highest price increase, jumping Rp550 (0.88%) to Rp62,700 per kg. Meanwhile, red chilies saw the lowest price decrease, dropping Rp2,040 (4.3%) to Rp45,450 per kg.
