Today's Food Prices February 26 in Jakarta: Red Chili and Onion Prices Rise

Several food commodity prices in Jakarta today were observed to increase compared to yesterday.

Quoting data from the Ministry of Trade's Basic Needs Market Monitoring System (SP2KP Kemendag) on Thursday (February 26, 2026) at 18:01 WIB, out of 16 commodities, 5 commodities increased and 2 decreased.

Commodities that saw price increases are large red chilies, broiler chicken eggs, Honan garlic, curly red chilies, and shallots.

Meanwhile, prices of some commodities such as premium rice and red bird's eye chilies decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Large red chili prices jumped the highest by Rp2,431 (4.58%) to Rp55,556 per kg. Meanwhile, red bird's eye chili prices dropped the most by Rp5,833 (5.45%) to Rp101,250 per kg.
