Today's Food Prices in South Sumatra: Chili Prices Up, Chicken Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) price panel on Monday (16/12/2024) at 14.27 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include red chilies, medium rice, farmer-level corn, premium rice, and simple packaged cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as dry soybean (import), milkfish, skipjack tuna, shallots, and bulk wheat flour decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Red chili prices increased the most, by Rp1,440 (3.8%) to Rp39,290 per kg. Skipjack tuna prices decreased the most sharply, by Rp540 (1.98%) to Rp26,740 per kg.
