Current Food Prices in West Sumatra: Beef Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in West Sumatra today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Saturday (5/4/2025) at 17:52 WIB, out of 24 commodities, 10 commodities increased and 12 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include cooking oil (curah), medium rice, table salt, milkfish, and chicken eggs.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as shallots, pure beef, packaged cooking oil, chicken meat, and skipjack tuna decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Milkfish prices increased the most by Rp10,000 (20.0%) to Rp60,000 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of curly red chilies decreased the most sharply by Rp6,154 (10.25%) to Rp53,897 per kg.
