Current Food Prices in Bali: Rice Up, Chilies Down

The prices of several food commodities in Bali today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Saturday (24/8/2024) at 11:45 WIB, out of 21 commodities, 7 commodities increased and 13 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include broiler chicken, shallots, milkfish, granulated sugar, and chicken eggs.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as simple packaged cooking oil, red chilies, bulk wheat flour, mackerel, and pure beef have decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Milkfish prices surged the highest by Rp1,170 (3.23%) to Rp37,420 per kg. Meanwhile, red chili prices decreased the most sharply by Rp3,010 (6.6%) to Rp42,570 per kg.

The following is a complete list of the prices of 21 food commodities in Bali according to Bapanas on August 24, 2024, at 11:45 WIB.

7. Mackerel: Rp34,570 per kg (down 1.93%)
8. Chicken Eggs: Rp26,640 per kg (up 0.45%)
9. Skipjack Tuna: Rp25,650 per kg (down 0.27%)
