Latest East Java Food Prices: Red Chili Prices Rise, Cooking Oil Prices Fall

The prices of several food commodities in East Java today are monitored to have increased compared to yesterday.

Citing data from the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel on Saturday (29/3/2025) at 16.04 WIB, out of 23 commodities, 17 commodities increased and 6 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include bulk cooking oil, large red chilies, curly red chilies, granulated sugar, and packaged wheat flour.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as Minyakita, chicken eggs, table salt, red chilies, and pure beef have decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of farmer-level corn saw the highest increase, jumping Rp1,459 (26.14%) to Rp7,040 per kg. The price of Minyakita saw the sharpest decrease, dropping Rp1,218 (7.2%) to Rp15,701 per liter.
