The price of medium-quality II rice in West Papua Province's modern markets increased by 1.49% over the past month.

The latest information from the National Strategic Food Price Information Center panel shows that the daily price of medium II quality rice in modern markets in West Papua Province is recorded at Rp17,000 per kg. This price is unchanged compared to the previous day and the last week.

However, compared to the last month, the daily price of medium II quality rice in modern markets has increased from the previous record of Rp16,750 per kg.

Meanwhile, the daily price of medium II quality rice in modern markets in West Papua over the last three months has increased by 2.1% from the previous record of Rp16,650 per kg.

The record increase in the daily price of medium II quality rice in modern markets in this province was previously recorded in September 2020 with an increase of 29.8%, and the lowest decrease was recorded in June 2021 with a decrease of -23.37%.

According to PIHPS monitoring, the prices of nine basic commodities (sembako) today in West Papua show seven commodities decreased and 21 others increased. The basic commodities with price decreases are Super I Quality Rice, Red Chili, Grade I Inferior Rice, Rice, Chili, Grade II Inferior Rice, and Grade I Medium Rice.
