Today's Food Prices in South Sumatra: Salt Prices Up, Onion Prices Down

The prices of several food commodities in South Sumatra today are observed to be lower than yesterday's.

Based on the National Food Agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Monday (10/6/2024) at 08.37 WIB, out of 20 commodities, 8 commodities increased and 12 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price include milkfish, iodized fine salt, red chilies, bulk cooking oil, and skipjack tuna.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as chicken eggs, pure beef, packaged wheat flour (non-bulk), granulated sugar, and farmer-level corn decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

Iodized fine salt experienced the highest price increase of Rp910 (8.43%), reaching Rp11,700 per kg. Farmer-level corn saw the lowest price decrease of Rp480 (8.76%), reaching Rp5,000 per kg.

The following is a complete list of the prices of 20 food commodities in South Sumatra according to Bapanas as of June 10, 2024, at 08.37 WIB.

6. Broiler Chicken: Rp32,910 per kg (down 1.61%)
7. Mackerel: Rp29,440 per kg (down 8.23%)
8. Skipjack Tuna: Rp28,020 per kg (up 3.17%)
9. Milkfish: Rp27,620 per kg (up 0.55%)
10. Chicken Eggs: Rp27,330 per kg (down 0.47%)
11. Granulated Sugar: Rp17,660 per kg (down 1.34%)
