Today's Food Price Update in Yogyakarta Special Region: Rice, Chili, and Onion Prices Drop (Friday, March 1, 2024)

The prices of several food commodities in Yogyakarta Special Region today are observed to have decreased compared to yesterday.

Based on the national food agency (Bapanas) food price panel data on Friday (1/3/2024) at 09.09 WIB, out of 19 commodities, 9 commodities increased and 10 commodities decreased in price.

Commodities that increased in price are skipjack tuna, bulk wheat flour, mackerel, bulk cooking oil, and simple packaged cooking oil.

Meanwhile, the prices of several commodities such as red chili peppers, dry soybean (import), pure beef, shallots, and packaged wheat flour (non-bulk) decreased compared to yesterday's prices.

The price of milkfish increased the most by Rp6,240 (16.97%) to Rp43,000 per kg. Meanwhile, the price of shallots decreased the least by Rp6,170 (21.9%) to Rp22,000 per kg.

2. Curly Red Chili: Rp65,000 per kg (down 11.64%)
3. Red Chili Peppers: Rp55,000 per kg (down 13.64%)
4. Milkfish: Rp43,000 per kg (up 16.97%)
5. Mackerel: Rp38,000 per kg (up 1.23%)
6. Broiler Chicken: Rp37,000 per kg (up 4.31%)
7. Skipjack Tuna: Rp36,000 per kg (up 3.06%)
8. Shallot Bulb: Rp33,000 per kg (down 6.01%)
9. Broiler Chicken Eggs: Rp32,000 per kg (up 3.73%)
10. Shallots: Rp22,000 per kg (down 21.9%)
11. Granulated Sugar: Rp17,000 per kg (down 0.82%)
